It is hard to believe that the Oak Bay Collector Car Festival celebrated its 26th anniversary on Sunday, July 19. Started by local restaurant owner Ken Agate, the Festival has developed to become the premier collector car show in Victoria.
Open to any special interest vehicle, the show has always featured a wide variety of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Special mention must be made of the willingness of the Mayor and Council of the District of Oak Bay, as well as both local residents and businesses, for their willingness to support the event. The closure of much of Oak Bay Avenue allows the public easy access to this unique show.
Our thanks go to the organizers of the event, including the OECC South Island Branch’s own Chris Beresford. Months of planning and a large number of volunteers on the day itself resulted in an exceptional show. We look forward to the next one!

Father’s Day dawned as another beautiful day to start summer 2026, and the sounds and sights of British cars arriving at Beacon Hill Park reminded us of how fortunate we are to live on Vancouver Island.
A steady stream continued through to 10:00am when most of the field was occupied.
Our thanks go out again to Bruce Cornfield and Jim Walters for making this such a success – now for over four decades.

The 19th Annual Restoration Fair & Swap Meet turned out to be, in terms of participation, the best one yet. About 200 English vehicles were to be seen during the day, and many club members were on hand, from very early in the morning until the end of day cleanup, to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Although the number of swap meet vendors was slightly reduced from previous years, there were still plenty of opportunities to search out and purchase parts, tools and books. The number of vehicles for sale was the highest ever at 15, with a wide variety of cars (and a motorcycle) on offer.
The organizers would like to thank all who helped to make the day such a success; we had an ample number of club members helping out where needed. Thanks to all!
